GPS is a free satellite based navigational system made by 24 satellites. It's own by U.S department of defense. GPS receiver passively receive signal from this satellite. When the GPS receiver receive 4 satellite signal, there can calculate it's position in 3D dimension.
The GPS need the following information to calculate it's position.
- The location of a minimum of three satellites that lock in with the object to be located or tracked.
The distance between the object and each of these satellites.
