Why I refuse to install silverlight.

Why? I don't have to install any plugin when using Google Doc but need Silverlight to run Office Doc. I refuse to install any plug-ins. Technically silverlight perform better than flash. But i don't see any usage of silverlight other than visiting microsoft.com website.

I still remeber silverlight hype. Now it's going to dead. HTML5 rules. To bad for a young technologies. Only flash for desktop can survive in the next 5 years. Tired of ever changing technologies. Why can't we just stick with one standard.
